Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026

ProfitOS ("ProfitOS", "we", "us", or "our") is a software-as-a-service media-buying reporting and intelligence platform. This policy explains what information ProfitOS collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information — including data received from Meta (Facebook) when you connect an advertising account.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information you provide directly, such as your name and email address, or basic profile information from Google or GitHub if you sign in with one of those providers.
  • Data generated by your use of ProfitOS, including campaigns, ad accounts, and reporting data you connect or import from advertising and affiliate platforms (see Sections 2 and 3).
  • Technical information necessary to operate the service, such as session and authentication data.

2. Meta/Facebook Data We Receive When You Connect Meta

When you connect a Meta (Facebook) advertising account to ProfitOS, we request the following permissions: ads_read, ads_management, and business_management. Using these permissions, ProfitOS receives and stores:

  • The Meta Business Portfolios (Business Manager accounts) and Ad Accounts you authorize.
  • Campaign, ad set, and ad-level data (names, status, budgets, objectives) for accounts you connect.
  • Advertising performance and spend data (impressions, clicks, spend, and related insights) for connected accounts.
  • A long-lived access token used to retrieve this data on your behalf, stored encrypted (see Section 5).

ProfitOS uses this data only to provide the reporting, discovery, and campaign management features you use within ProfitOS for the accounts you have authorized. We do not sell Meta data, and we do not use it for advertising or any purpose other than providing the ProfitOS service to you.

3. Other Account/Service Data ProfitOS Uses

In addition to Meta, ProfitOS lets you connect other advertising, affiliate, and revenue-tracking platforms you choose to configure (for example, integrations such as Everflow, RedTrack, and Cake), and may send notifications through channels you configure (for example, Telegram). ProfitOS may also use an AI service (Anthropic) to help generate recommendations and insights from your connected reporting data. Data from these sources is used only for the purposes described in Section 4, and only for services you have explicitly connected.

4. How We Use Data

  • Display advertising and revenue reporting, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Reconcile spend and revenue data across the platforms you connect.
  • Let you view, and where you enable it, manage campaign status and budgets for accounts you have connected.
  • Generate recommendations and alerts based on your connected data.
  • Maintain the security and proper functioning of your ProfitOS account.

We do not use your data for advertising to you or to third parties, and we do not sell your data.

5. Data Storage and Security

ProfitOS stores your data in a managed database. Sensitive credentials and access tokens (including Meta access tokens) are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM encryption. Account passwords are hashed using bcrypt and are never stored in plain text. Access to data within a ProfitOS account is restricted by role-based permissions, so only authorized users of your ProfitOS account can view or manage connected data.

6. When Data May Be Shared

We do not sell your data or Meta data. We may share information:

  • With the third-party platforms you connect (e.g., Meta), as necessary to retrieve or update the data you have requested.
  • If required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or governmental request.
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of ProfitOS, our users, or others.

We do not share Meta Platform Data with any third party except as described above or as required to provide the ProfitOS service you have requested.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information and connected platform data for as long as your ProfitOS account remains active, or as needed to provide the service to you. If you disconnect a connected platform (such as Meta) within ProfitOS, the associated access token is invalidated and no further data is retrieved from that platform; previously retrieved historical reporting data is not automatically deleted and remains available in your account unless you request its deletion (see Sections 8 and 10). We do not currently apply an automatic deletion schedule to historical reporting data.

8. Your Rights, Access, and Deletion Requests

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information and connected platform data by contacting us using the information in Section 11. We will respond to verified requests within a reasonable time. Deletion requests are currently handled by our team rather than through an automated self-service process.

9. Meta Platform Data

Data we receive from Meta ("Meta Platform Data") is used solely to provide the advertising reporting and campaign management functionality you have authorized within ProfitOS. We do not use Meta Platform Data for any other purpose, and we do not sell Meta Platform Data to any third party. Our handling of Meta Platform Data is intended to comply with Meta's Platform Terms and Developer Policies.

10. Deleting Your Data

You can revoke ProfitOS's access to your Meta data at any time from Meta's own settings, or by unlinking the connection from within ProfitOS. For full instructions on removing your data, including data received from Meta, see our Data Deletion Instructions page.
